Relationship Therapy in Warrington & Online

Through my extensive experience in relationship therapy, I guide couples in resolving conflicts, rebuilding trust, and fostering open communication. In therapy, I create a safe, non-judgmental space where couples can navigate hurt and betrayal, leading to compromises and positive resolutions. My goal is to ensure the well-being and happiness of those I work with, even if the relationship seems damaged. Whether couples find a path to unity or decide to part ways, my aim is for them to leave therapy in a happy and healthy place with improved communication.

Understanding our painful childhood patterns can cause severe problems in relationships. Secure attachment is within reach of everyone, but sometimes we need help to see how we were shaped and take the courageous decision to be different. Attachment based couples therapy helps couples improve their emotional connection and enhance their relationships. This approach focuses on understanding how each partner's attachment style and patterns influence their interactions . The therapist's role is to collaborate with each couple to create a secure, supportive place so that both partners feel heard and validated.

Couple Therapy

As a seasoned therapist, I guide couples in resolving conflicts, rebuilding trust, and fostering open communication.

Transforming Family Dynamics

If disputes impact the extended family, seeking help becomes crucial. Children exposed to arguments may face long-term consequences, making relationship therapy essential for a stable and happy family life. During sessions, arguments are transformed into productive conversations, enabling couples to implement advice at home and rebuild normalcy.

Relationship issues can also affect work-life, making it challenging to focus and resulting in decreased productivity. In therapy, I provide a safe space for individuals to share thoughts and feelings, helping clear the mind for improved work performance. A positive mindset developed at work can then contribute to resolving relationship issues at home.

How I Work

Assessment Session

This session aims to explore the couple's attachment histories, identifying factors contributing towards current difficulties.

Therapy Sessions

I work in an attachment focused manner, providing a supportive, empathic, respectful, challenging and non-judgemental place in which we can identify attachment styles and examine how these patterns manifest in communication, intimacy and conflict resolution. Sessions can be limited in number or take place over a longer term according to your goals. Most clients see me every week.

I am dedicated to incorporating anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory principles into my practice, aligning with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. In my work, I infuse enthusiasm, commitment, and a sense of humour, acknowledging that therapy is not only challenging but also has the potential to be invigorating.

Online Counselling Sessions

If travel induces anxiety, you're under self-isolation recommendations, or facing physical health challenges, I'm here to offer support through Zoom.

Individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, or physical health issues often find it challenging to venture outside. The amplified fears and worries upon stepping out exacerbate their already compromised mental health. Recognising this, I extend Zoom sessions to both existing and new clients who may be unable to attend face-to-face meetings.

Advantages of Online Counselling

Experience personalised face-to-face support from the comfort of your home. Unlike phone therapy sessions, which may feel distant initially, platforms like Zoom allow for an early connection, helping me understand how best to support you.
Take the next step
Whether you're on holiday, relocating, or simply visiting family, you can book a last-minute therapy session. Scheduled sessions remain uninterrupted, ensuring we can connect regardless of your location in the UK or anywhere worldwide.

Maintain support during illness or bed rest. Your mental health is as crucial as your physical well-being, and it shouldn't be neglected during times of sickness or injury, especially when isolation can exacerbate anxiety and depression.

Feel more at ease sharing from your preferred location, whether it's your office or couch.

Busy professionals and parents need not miss out on vital mental health support due to time constraints for travel. I can offer expert advice and assistance, ensuring accessibility for all clients, whether face-to-face, over the phone, or online.
